As of Tuesday, December 29, the federal government began sending a second round of Economic Impact Payments to those who qualify based on the most recent COVID-19 relief bill. When will I get my payment?
Payments began appearing in bank accounts as early as yesterday evening and will continue into next week. If the IRS has your direct deposit information, you can expect to receive your payment directly into your bank account. If they do not have access to your direct deposit information, you can expect to receive a paper check or prepaid debit card in the mail, which may take longer.
What do I need to do to receive my payment?
No action is required by those who qualify to receive this payment. The IRS will use the information they have on file from your previous stimulus check or tax filing to automatically distribute your payment by direct deposit or by mailing a paper check or prepaid debit card.
How will I know when I receive my payment?
You may check your account for your stimulus payment by logging into First Bank's online banking, the First Bank mobile app, or at any of our ATM's.
