Customers, please beware of a current phone scam that involves a spam link containing the word "treasury." Customers at various banks across the country are receiving phone calls where the caller ID shows the bank name, but it is not actually from the bank. The spammers claim to be with the bank fraud department and that some wire transfers have been flagged. They request account verification so they can issue new account numbers, and in some cases they are aware of some personal information such as the last four digits of the customer's Social Security Number. They send the customer a text with a link that may look like http://treasury-xxxxxx (the bank's name). If the customer refuses to provide their information, they claim their accounts will be locked.
If you receive a call or a text that fits this description, do not provide any personal information or click on any links, and please contact us.
