Community Involvement

Desk and Derrick Club Golf Tournament
First Bank was a hole sponsor for the 2022 Desk and Derrick Club golf tournament. We fielded a team in the competitions and also grilled for participants and spectators.

Financial Education at Fain Elementary School
First Bank's Mikayla Schreiber visited Fain Elementary, and read "The Berenstain Bears' Trouble with Money” to 73 kindergarten students. She distributed educational kits, and discussed the topics of earning, spending, saving, gifting, needs vs. wants, and banking.

Burkburnett Community Blood Drive
On Tuesday, May 3, First Bank hosted a blood drive at our Burkburnett location. Six First Bank employees and eight community members donated blood.

T.H.O.R. 2022
First Bank sponsored the 2022 edition of T.H.O.R. (Texoma's Hellacious Obstacle Run), and two of our employees, Jeremy and Kody, participated with their spouses. T.H.O.R. is a non-profit race benefitting the LWF and the Wichita Falls Streams & Valleys.

Supporting Financial Literacy for Elementary Students
First Bank hosted 108 first graders from Coder Elementary at our Aledo location. Aledo President Dan Herbert provided financial education from the FDIC’s Money Smart Program, and the students received a tour of the bank followed by lunch after the activities.

First Bank Recognized for More Than 50 Years in Burkburnett
First Bank was awarded The Texas Treasure Business Award from the Texas Historical Commission for being in business for more than 50 years in Burkburnett. Pictured left to right: Tasha Tinsley, Deana Skinner, Jake Andrajack, Andrea Holt, and Jill Fournier.

Windthorst Elementary School
Mikayla Schreiber, Controller at First Bank, visited a kindergarten class at Windthorst Elementary School and taught the students about earning and saving money. Students received a money pencil, a coloring book, and a piggy bank with coins in it to help them learn to save money.

First Bank's Contributions Recognized by Midwestern State University
In February, MSU recognized businesses that have been operating in Wichita Falls for over 100 years. We were presented with a brick commemorating First Bank's help in building the foundation of MSU.

Casual for a Cause - 2021 Donations
In 2021, First Bank donated $5,647.26 through our Casual for a Cause fund to charities such as the Mustang’s Pantry, The Friendly Door of Iowa Park, Burkburnett’s Meals on Wheels, Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls, Frisco Fastpacs, Wichita County Child Welfare Stockings, Operation Santa Claus and many other wonderful organizations in our community.
