Community Involvement

Supporting Underserved Citizens of Parker County
On Friday, October 6, Employees from our Aledo branch attended the the Parker County Health Foundation's Pink Luncheon, supporting their mission to enhance the health and well being of the underserved citizens of Parker County.

Supporting Grace House Ministries
Our Aledo branch sponsored a table at the Grace House Ministries Gala this past Saturday night, supporting all they do for the Aledo community.

Feeding First Responders in Aledo
Employees from our Aledo branch fed more than 40 local firefighters, police officers, and EMTs at their annual First Responders Appreciation Lunch. It's our way to honor them and say thank you for all they do in the communities they serve.

Casual for a Cause: Cunningham Elementary School
Our charity for Casual for a Cause in August was Cunningham Elementary School’s inclusive playground project. This project will allow a safe place to play for all students and enable the playground to be accessible for students in walkers and wheelchairs.

Coder Elementary Students Visit Our Aledo Branch
On April 14 students from Coder Elementary visited our Aledo branch. The students received financial education in the FDIC's Money Smart Program from President of Aledo, Dan Herbert, along with a workbook and pencil, and a green First Bank piggy bank or coin purse with fifty cents to encourage them to start saving money. They also took a tour of the bank and were provided lunch.

Casual for a Cause: January
The Center was our Casual for a Cause charity for the month of January. First Bank employees donated a total of $772.78 to support this organization.

Gifts for Neglected and Abused Children
First Bank partnered with the Wichita County Child Welfare Board to provide Christmas gifts for neglected and abused children who are in the legal custody of Child Protective Services. Our employees sponsored 44 children and provided more than 132 gifts and stocking stuffers. We hope to have made a difference in the lives of these children during this holiday season.

Operation Santa Claus
First Bank donated $1000 worth of toys to the Wichita Falls Professional Firefighters Association’s Operation Santa Claus to help provide toys for those in need this holiday season.

Supporting the Salvation Army
On November 29, First Bank employees rang the bell for the Salvation Army at the United in Burkburnett from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wichita Falls employees will ring the bell on Tuesday, December 20 at Sam’s Club from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
