Community Involvement

Gifts for Neglected and Abused Children
First Bank partnered with the Wichita County Child Welfare Board to provide Christmas gifts for neglected and abused children who are in the legal custody of Child Protective Services. Our employees sponsored 44 children and provided more than 132 gifts and stocking stuffers. We hope to have made a difference in the lives of these children during this holiday season.

Operation Santa Claus
First Bank donated $1000 worth of toys to the Wichita Falls Professional Firefighters Association’s Operation Santa Claus to help provide toys for those in need this holiday season.

Supporting the Salvation Army
On November 29, First Bank employees rang the bell for the Salvation Army at the United in Burkburnett from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wichita Falls employees will ring the bell on Tuesday, December 20 at Sam’s Club from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Paper for Zundy Elementary
Our community's schools and teachers never stop caring for our children, so we decided to give them some extra support today. First Bank's Jim Johnson presented Zundy Elementary's Assistant Principal Joseph Baka with printing paper as a way to help teachers continue to fulfill their all-important mission.

Helping Our Customers Beat the Heat
After so many days over 100 degrees, we wanted to help folks cool off. We handed out water at our Kell location – just one of the ways we're always looking out for our customers!

Casual for a Cause: Burkburnett Boys & Girls Club
The Burkburnett Boys & Girls Club was our Casual for a Cause charity for the month of May. First Bank employees donated a total of $405.78 to help support their programs.

Desk and Derrick Club Golf Tournament
First Bank was a hole sponsor for the 2022 Desk and Derrick Club golf tournament. We fielded a team in the competitions and also grilled for participants and spectators.

Financial Education at Fain Elementary School
First Bank's Mikayla Schreiber visited Fain Elementary, and read "The Berenstain Bears' Trouble with Money” to 73 kindergarten students. She distributed educational kits, and discussed the topics of earning, spending, saving, gifting, needs vs. wants, and banking.

Burkburnett Community Blood Drive
On Tuesday, May 3, First Bank hosted a blood drive at our Burkburnett location. Six First Bank employees and eight community members donated blood.
