On April 30, 2020, First Bank donated $10,000 to the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, which is in dire need of monetary donations to feed hungry families during the COVID-19 pandemic. First Bank’s donation is part of the “Texas Banks 4 Food Banks” initiative to raise much needed funds for food banks around the state. Demand at the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank is nearly double what it was before the pandemic.
“We are a community bank that has been serving the Wichita Falls area for generations. Our community needs our help now more than ever,” said First Bank Chairman and CEO Chuck White. “We have always helped with their financial needs, but that’s not enough in these challenging times. We absolutely must help our community with their essential needs, as well.”
As one of the first financial institutions to open its doors in Wichita County, First Bank takes great pride in its history of steadfast community partnership. First Bank is also an approved lender for the Paycheck Protection Program and has funded hundreds of loans for small businesses as well as supporting individual customers in a variety of ways throughout this crisis.
“People have always been our number one priority – our customers, our employees and our community. Our unending commitment to the communities we serve will never change,” White said.
